Investing in the infrastructure of a cleaner earth
Safai Wala turns free, no-cost garbage pickup into a sorted, recycling-first supply chain — solving a public problem while building a business around the material we recover.
The problem
Unmanaged garbage accumulates in public spaces because reporting and pickup usually cost money. What does get collected is often dumped as a mixed load, so recyclable material ends up in landfill instead of being recovered. The informal recycling economy that exists today is fragmented and often runs on unfair pricing.
Our approach
Remove the cost barrier entirely — pickup is free for anyone who reports garbage — then recover the economics on the back end by sorting everything we collect and selling recyclable material at fair industrial rates. Every free pickup is also a supply-chain input.
The model: free to acquire, built to monetize
Free Pickup For Everyone
No fee to report or get garbage picked up. This removes the biggest barrier to participation and drives volume from day one.
Trained Crews, Any Location
Safai Wala crews collect from households, streets, businesses, and healthcare facilities alike.
Sort & Recycle At The Source
Material is sorted by type instead of dumped mixed, maximizing what can actually be recovered.
Sell Recovered Material
Sorted recyclables are sold at fair industrial rates, turning a free public service into a revenue stream.
Why this works
Zero-Friction Acquisition
Free pickup removes the cost objection that limits paid waste-management competitors, driving faster adoption per zone.
Trust Through Transparency
Trained, verified crews and fair, disclosed pricing build the trust needed for recurring reports and repeat recyclable sales.
Recycling-First R&D
Ongoing investment in recovery pipelines increases the share of collected material that becomes sellable, improving unit economics over time.
Full Visibility
Every report and pickup is tracked end to end, giving us operational data most informal waste networks never capture.
